Crane Worldwide Logistics announces the appointment of Kenneth Nielsen to serve as managing director for Benelux, based out of the company’s office in Amsterdam.

In this role, Nielsen, will be responsible for overseeing the continued growth of Crane Worldwide Logistics in Benelux and report to Marco Nazzari, regional vice president, Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) at Crane.

Crane says the hiring of Nielsen demonstrates a commitment to improving its “unparalleled” operations in The Netherlands, consisting of a strong airfreight base in Amsterdam, ocean freight in Rotterdam, and contract logistics capabilities in Tilburg. Growth in EMEIA is clearly visible year-over-year and Nielsen will be instrumental in the continued success in the region.

Nielsen is an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of experience in a variety of senior positions across the supply chain industry in EMEIA, South Asia and the Americas. His most recent position was at Geodis Freight Forwarding where he was director, Global Ocean Product. He also held various positions during his esteemed career at AP Moller-Maersk (Damco) and Yusen Logistics.

Nielsen holds a business degree from Tietgen Business College in Odense, Denmark.
