Turkish Cargo outpaces market with 21.7% growth in 2018

Turkish Cargo reports a 21.7 per cent growth in cargo sales in 2018, nearly 10 times the global air cargo market average of 2.2 per cent, citing WorldACD data.

Operating direct cargo flights to 85 destinations by means of its fleet of freighters in addition to the cargo carrying capacity of the passenger aircraft of Turkish Airlines, the cargo carrier says it now has a total cargo carrying capacity of 1.4 million tonnes, ranking it in 8th position across the global air cargo market.

Turkish Cargo launched new services in 2018, including: Zaragoza (Spain), Vilnius (Lithuania), Liege, Brussels (Belgium), Miami (USA), Toronto (Canada), Houston (USA), Bogota (Colombia), Mexico City (Mexico), Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Taipei (Taiwan), Navoi (Uzbekistan) and Muscat (Oman).
