DB Schenker is striking a strategic partnership with ChannelAdvisor Corporation, a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable brands and retailers to increase global sales. The partnership will help enable DB Schenker’s customers to connect with over one hundred selling channels supported by ChannelAdvisor.
The turnover on online marketplaces has grown enormously and has left conventional e-commerce websites far behind, Schenker says, adding that a scalable multi-channel solution is essential in today’s e-commerce environment.
Vanessa Holl, vice president Global e- commerce Vector Market, Global Contract Logistics at DB Schenker explains: “We are continuously improving our service offering to customers beyond e-fulfillment and our strategic partnership with ChannelAdvisor will offer them comprehensive access to key marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay on a global Level.”
“The integration entrenches DB Schenker as a leading global provider in e-commerce logistics, offering all warehouse-related services, especially pick and pack, returns management, and visibility alongside the supply chain,” the logistics group says. ChannelAdvisor customers will get access to DB Schenker’s global network of shared facilities to enable best-in-class e-commerce order fulfillment.
“For most brands and retailers, lack of a global logistics and fulfillment solution is a key factor inhibiting global expansion,” says Håkan Thyr, director of strategic partnerships in EMEA at ChannelAdvisor. “Our alliance with DB Schenker will give our customers access to a leading and global solution to counteract that challenge.”
