Taiwan’s China Airlines celebrates its 60th year of operations by rolling out a new livery, with the first on an A350-900 between Taipei (TPE) and Ontario (ONT), California.
The number ’60’ in China Airlines’ corporate identity colors of blue and red served as the inspiration for the 60th anniversary logo. The logo in the shape of ‘GO’ and the infinity symbol ‘∞’ is planned to be progressively applied to the A350-900, A330-300, B737-800, B777-300ER, B747-400 and B747-400 Freighter fleets in the coming months.
The Taipei-Ontario route, introduced in 2018, was chosen for its popularity among passengers and as a “demonstration of the carrier’s commitment to the North American market”.
Looking back over its 60-year history, the carrier says: “China Airlines has transformed Taiwan into one of the top international air hubs and is continuing to create new legends up in the skies. China Airlines will continue to embrace its vision of being ‘Taiwan’s preferred airline’ for the next 60 years to come.”
