Kaisun Holdings Ltd and China Railway Engineering Construction Mongolia have signed an agreement for the construction of a rail platform aimed at opening up logistics along the China-Mongolia-Russia corridor.
The construction of the Mongolia Choir Railway Platform will provide full supply chain management services in the region, enhancing development of logistics along the Belt and Road, Hong Kong-based Kaisun says.
The railway platform is located in the Mongolian city of Choir, located in the middle-eastern part of the country, some 250 kilometres from its capital Ulaanbaatar.
The platform will cover a total area of 35,000 sqm with an annual loading capacity of 1.8 million tonnes.
“Being the only one railway for logistics transportation between China, Mongolia and Russia, the Railway Platform will provide loading and unloading, warehousing, customs declaration and logistic services to enterprises in both China and Mongolia,” the companies say.
