Finnair adds capacity to Beijing with three weekly A330 flights to the new Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), which opens for operations by 30 September, 2019.

Finnair will operate to Beijing International Daxing Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays as of 3 November, 2019 with an Airbus A330 aircraft. The new frequencies are in addition to Finnair’s daily flights to Beijing Capital Airport.

“With the new flights, we are proud to offer even better connections between Beijing and our 100 destinations in Europe”, says Ole Orvér, chief commercial officer, Finnair.

“Our aim is to continue to grow our presence in China. The new Beijing Daxing International Airport will become a key hub for international travel to and from China and will serve our customers well.

“We are grateful for the support and collaboration from both authorities and our partners in opening the new Daxing flights”, Orvér adds.

The carrier says the new frequencies connect smoothly to Finnair’s network of over 100 destinations in Europe, allowing travellers short flight times and convenient transfers via Helsinki.

Finnair operates to seven destinations in Greater China, and China is among Finnair’s top markets globally. This spring, Finnair announced codeshare collaborations with Juneyao Air and with China Southern, which brought 13 new Chinese destinations to Finnair’s customers.
