Vietnam Airlines has made its inaugural flight to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport from Hanoi (HAN) using B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
The carrier shifted its operations from Moscow’s Domodedovo (DME) to Sheremetyevo (SVO) starting 2 July 2019 and operates the route three-times per week.
Denis Pashkovsky, deputy CEO for Commercial Activity of SIA JSC, says: “Sheremetyevo International Airport is pleased to welcome Vietnam Airlines as our new partner. This cooperation improves air communication between Russia and the countries of Southeast Asia.
“Sheremetyevo Airport will provide the highest level of service for arriving passengers, as well as affordable and comfortable connections for flights from Vietnam to Russian and European destinations serviced by Aeroflot and other SkyTeam member airlines.”
Vietnam Airlines now operates 94 routes to 21 domestic and 29 international destinations with an average of 400 flights per day.
