Avia Solutions Group, a global multipurpose aviation holding company has completed the acquisition of 100 per cent of the shareholding in UK-headquartered Chapman Freeborn Group. The deal was first announced in June this year with all customary approvals for the transaction having been obtained.
Avia Solutions has 76 subsidiaries engaged in aircraft maintenance, ACMI, aircraft leasing, pilot training, ground handling and fuelling, logistics, aviation IT solutions and business aviation.
Avia says the addition of Chapman Freeborn, a worldwide aircraft charter solutions provider, bolsters the current business lines portfolio of the Group. “Chapman Freeborn’s areas of expertise, which include arranging the delivery of time-critical shipments, heavy and outsize equipment, humanitarian goods, and other types of freight, widen the Avia Solutions Group’s service scope and allow the group to enter new markets and reach new clients,” it says.
As part of the Avia Solutions Group, Chapman Freeborn will maintain its existing product portfolio and continue to operate under the group’s existing brands – including subsidiaries Chapman Freeborn Airchartering, Chapman Freeborn OBC, Intradco Cargo Services, Logik Logistics, Magma Aviation, and Wings 24.
The acquisition has expanded Avia Solutions Group ownership to 110 companies in 32 countries worldwide, with approximately 5000 professionals in total.
Avia Solutions Group started its business in Lithuania in 2010, and currently the Group has representative offices in the US, the UK, Poland, Serbia, Estonia, Russia, Thailand, and Indonesia. The Group’s annual turnover in 2018 exceeded EUR 420 million.
