Turkish Cargo posts a healthy 8.8 per cent growth in cargo tonnage uplifted in September, year-on-year, in a global market which contracted by 5.4 per cent.
Citing WorldACD September data, Turkish Cargo says it’s the only one of the top 10 airlines to see growth in September.
The Far East and America markets were responsible for the highest growth the carrier says.
On the basis of the tonnage sold, Turkish Cargo has seen growth in all regions in September, growing by 11.1 per cent in America, 9.7 per cent in the Far East Region, 8.7 per cent in Europe, 7.9 per cent in the Middle East and 5.3 per cent in Africa.
In addition to the flag-carrier Turkish Airlines’ cargo carrying capacity, Turkish Cargo performs direct cargo flights to 88 destinations with its freighter fleet.
