China Post Group and the Skyworth Group – a Chinese manufacturer of electronics and smart appliances – have signed a strategic partnership agreement.
China Post and Skyworth have been cooperating for a number of years in the areas of finance, postal delivery & logistics, e-commerce distribution and other fields. China Post says that based on “the principle of mutual benefit and common development, the two sides established a long-term strategic partnership this time based on their respective core competitiveness.”
This will see the two companies complement each other’s capabilities through shared resources, carrying out in-depth cooperation in financial services, postal delivery & logistics, e-commerce business, and postal services to develop new businesses and expand new markets.
In terms of postal delivery & logistics, the pair will actively facilitate cooperation in B2B transportation, warehousing and distribution, raw material inbound logistics, supplier agency procurement, and overseas services.
On e-commerce distribution, the two sides will jointly launch Skyworth products at Ule.com and expand key markets such as rural areas through postal channels.
In terms of the information-oriented development of postal outlets, Skyworth will participate in the design and construction of intelligent postal outlets.
In addition, Skyworth will make comprehensive use of China Post’s Internet media, its own and joint offline channels as well as marketing campaign planning and organization to carry out brand promotion and customer retention.
Finance and its related services will see cooperation in cash management, financing credit, supply chain finance, asset management, bond underwriting and investment, institution wealth management, and employee benefits.
