German general sales and service agent (GSSA), ATC, has won exclusive rights to represent the cargo business of Alitalia in Germany from 15 January.
The company already represents Alitalia in Canada, Chile, Columbia, Peru and Switzerland.
The contract sees ATC responsible for all cargo sales and marketing affairs within this important market, the company says. Alitalia operates long haul flights with B777 and A330 to some of the most important international and intercontinental cargo destinations, like NRT, JNB, SCL, SAO, MIA, LAX, BOS along side a number of others.
Alitalia’s main hubs are located in Rome-Fiumicino (FCO) and Milan-Malpensa (MXP) while Milan-Linate (LIN) is mainly used for national and European flights.
ATC says an efficient Road Feeder Service connects the German market with the Italian hubs. Additionally German customers will have the option to load cargo on pax flights in Berlin (BER), Düsseldorf (DUS), Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC).
Alitalia is a member of SkyTeam Cargo, the main alliance of cargo airlines in the world.
