CMA CGM Air Cargo, the ocean shipping group’s new dedicated air freight division, is building on its initial service offering of Liege (LGG) – Chicago (ORD) with New York (JFK) and Atlanta (ATL).
The addition of regular service to JFK and ATL from 28 March comes only three weeks after the launch of its commercial operations. The carrier is deploying four A330-200F on the routes with two of the freighters already operating on the LGG-ORD service.
CMA CGM Air Cargo says the doubling of offered capacity is being undertaken “to better serve our customers on this trade lane”.
CEVA Logistics, the logistics arm of the French ocean shipping giant is the main customer of the service, with priority access to capacity on the flights.
The new air cargo carrier has selected the French ECS Group as its exclusive general sales agent (GSA) to support its expansion.
