Malaysia’s Raya Airways takes delivery of its third B767-200 converted freighter from Cargo Aircraft Management (CAM).
The freighter is under a five-year lease from CAM, a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group (ATSG).
“The Boeing 767 converted freighter is the ideal aircraft for our network,” says Mohamad Najib Bin Ishak, managing director of Raya Airways. “We are very proud of the continued growth we have been able to achieve with it thanks to the ATSG team.”
Raya Airways, a Malaysian scheduled all-cargo airline, specialises in express freight and air freighter charters serving more than 10 locations in its domestic, Southeast Asian, and North Asian network.
“ATSG is happy to be a part of Raya’s success story,” says Mike Berger, chief commercial officer of ATSG. “We look forward to extending our relationship further as Raya expands in the Asia-Pacific market.”
First established Transmile Air Services in 1993, the cargo carrier rebranded itself as Raya Airways following a restructuring after its departure from the Transmile Group in 2013.
Raya Airways is based at Subang Airport (SZB), near Kuala Lumpur. it offers scheduled, express delivery and chartered services for logistics firms and airlines including DHL, UPS, Air Macau and CEN Worldwide. It operates both domestic and regional freight services with B727F, B757F and B767F aircraft.
